am Pico and I am Hans and we're here to...Thanks for stopping
by our little spot on the web. How you found us, no one will ever
know. Some say that we are the web's best kept secret. Others
say that their lives would be hell with out toilet paper. Below
we have some writings, standup clips, and other miscellaneous

I
keep seeing all of these "Word a Day" calendars and
websites, and I wonder if I would be able to learn a word a
day for the rest of my life. Probably not, I lose interest in
that kind of stuff after a few days, plus it would be obvious
to my friends and coworkers that I am forcing some new words
into the water cooler conversations. So, I thought of something,
I might be capable of learning a word every year. So, over a
normal life-span, a person using my method could learn like
70 words, give or take a few conscious years.
Word
a Year for 2001:
henotheism
\HEH-nuh-thee-ih-zum ("th" as in "think")\ (noun)
the
worship of one god without denying the existence of other gods
Example sentence:
During certain
periods of Egyptian history, the pharaohs and their subjects
practiced henotheism.
Word
a Year for 2002:
namby-pamby
\nam-bee-PAM-bee\ (adjective)
1 : lacking
in character or substance : insipid
2 : weak, indecisive
Example sentence:
"I'm
not afraid to speak up for what I believe in," said Nellie,
"and I have no patience with those namby-pamby types who don't
have the guts to stick to their convictions."
